A huge thank you to Stuart and the team at Inverness Library,

Cathy and the team at Derbyshire Libraries.

Tracey and the team at East Riding Libraries, and Catherine and the team at Derby Library. Your support means the world.

Events

Every year over at Royal Derby and Burton Hospitals the amazing Admiral nurses have a ‘Dementia Awareness Week’. My Mum is part of the training story and it’s a great opportunity to pop along and have a chat.

Later on in the year the Admiral nurses put on a ‘Dementia Event’ where your questions can be answered and there are lots of stalls where you can go and have a chat and get advice.

It’s a lovely friendly event where ‘like minded’ people come together to help those Carers and their loved ones who have a dementia diagnosis.

All about the new book

My new book is on the Horizon, so exciting and busy times ahead! It is a follow on from The Workshop and includes the ‘magic of connection and communication’ between those living and our loved ones who have passed.

It got me thinking… how could my family reach out to others who have a terminal illness, a family with children and grandparents who would…
‘step into the parent role’ when the time came.

The story came in the form of a children’s book featuring my family members as the characters along with my dogs, with so many doddles and drawings… I lost count!

Each drawing was made by cutting and glueing and building them up with shapes and figures. This is the process I use along with my ‘trusty pencil’… it took an absolute age but it worked out in the end.

I look forward to sharing it with you all!
